On May 17, I met with the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee of St. John's United Methodist Church. They were a very gracious group of people; they even gave me a gift basket of yummy Virginia stuff! The congregation sounds great: caring, mission-oriented, welcoming, and excited about what God is doing in their midst. My first Sunday with them is July 2, and I can't wait!! Here are pics of the church: the altar, the entrance to the sanctuary, the sign (which will say "Pastor: Patti Money" in a month!), and my office. I don't have a secretary, so my 18-month stint as a church secretary will come in handy!

Hi Patti (and James)! Just had to stop by and say "hi" and we miss you!! So good to hear that all is going well in NC - the parsonage sounds wonderful. Do let us know when you come back into town. We missed your last Sunday and we felt awful about that - we had to make 2 trips to Mississippi - Michael's Aunt passed away and then the following week we had to go right back down for his sister's graduation. Mercy, we are tired. Love to you both, Tam and Michael
