Good-bye, Barbaro

As someone who lived in Lexington, Kentucky, the so-called "horse captital of the world", for over five years, I've been following Barbaro's story over the past eight months. He was euthanized today, after a very long and courageous fight. I'd gotten kind of attached to the guy; he was a cute horse, and a trooper. I feel very sad for his owners, who invested so much in Barbaro, even after it became plain that his days of money-making were over. St. John's Enters the 21st Century!!

Thanks to one of our wonderfully talented new members (who "just happens" to be the pastor's husband), our church now has a website! Yes, I realize I have been horribly negligent in blogging recently. My grandmother sent me an e-mail reprimanding me for not updating the blog! Sorry about that. But lots has been going on in our lives what with church, work, and two dogs. Expect some more blogging activity in the next 3-4 weeks. I promise!
